here's what happens when you mate light sabers with common flowers. ;)

now, seriously: this is another picture from last night's session with ~raumzeit (check out his pictures as well, if you like this one).

my older 2 shots from this session are Beam me up, Scotty and Stoned Firefly

how this was done: as you can see below, it's a long exposure. i "drew" the flower with a LED flashlight, and the petals were done using the rear light of a bicyle. ~raumzeit took the picture.

the picture is totally unmanipulated BTW (other than the frame & logo).

inspiration for this picture came from a video by the Red Hot Chili Peppers - if anyone knows the name, please let me know. if you've seen it i'm sure you remember, as it looks quite awesome.

it turned out quite nicely IMHO. comments appreciated!

a neon flower how cool :) this is neat with the two colours. Just how many seconds is 150/10 shutter speed?

it's in seconds, so 150/10 equals 15 seconds exposure. =)
