a panoramic long exposure picture taken on a crane in the northern suburbs of Zürich.
i loved the view from up there :wow: and hope you like it, too.

thanks to *raumzeit who not only convinced me to climb a crane ^^; (he's the guy visible in the pic BTW), but also suggested a program to do the stitching. i just couldn't be bothered to do so manually this time... :relax:

i guess only full view makes sense for this picture, but beware - it's about 650 KB. :D

That's really wonderful. A part of the wonder goes to me wondering if you guys had permission to be up there. :giggle: I love how the perspective curve is more subtle on this than in other panoramas I've seen. This would be awesome to have as a print stretching across a wall.

do you think? i've thought about it...

as deviantART prints need to be of a certain aspect ratio [link] , making this panorama available as print would require it to have huge (black) borders at the top and bottom.
one'd have to buy a huge print, cut away the additional black border and only get a narrow strip of picture out of it. i'm not sure this is what anyone wants. if you do, i'd gladly make a print available. :)
